The Ursino Castle of Catania was founded by Frederick II of Swabia in the XIII century. The manor had a certain visibility during the Sicilian Vespers, as the seat of parliament and later as the residence of the Aragonese monarchs, including Frederick III. Today it houses the Museum of the town of Etna, formed mainly from the collections of Biscari and Benedictine.
